Cute Bookshelf~

Found this cute little bookshelf at a garage sale for $3.00. It was painted a THICK brown. I stripped as much as I could and sanded all of the bumps of paint...yuck!

Before~

Although I really like brown this was a little much so I transformed this brown bookshelf into this new turquoise one. It was a little loud for my taste so I toned it down with tinted black glaze and added material to the back.

After:

Hope you like it! I will be selling this little guy at a flea market April 10th, here in Dallas. I'll be adding a note to my side bar with all the specifics of the flea market for anyone here in the Dallas area.

Thanks for looking,
Rita

LOVE it! Very unique piece, too. I just started my own small business refinishing antiques...so glad I found your blog today (through power of paint)! I'll be your newest follower, thank you very much! Oh, would you mind if I feature you and this piece on my blog for my favorites this week? Just either comment on my blog or email me (find it there) to let me know. Great job! Nice to meet you.

Hey Shannon, In response to your question, I actually used material. Wallpapwer would have probably been easier but I liked the print on this one. :)
