...And Another Stool

Told you there were more stools in the works. This is one a friend of mine gave me to restore. It's amazing what a little paint and new fabric can do. My daughter Brianna acutally painted this one all by herself. I wonder if I have a little minnie me in the works... A mother can only hope :)

The Apple Table

This is kind of a funny story. I bought this desk at a garage sale for $5.00. It was painted white with an apple print contact paper on the top. When Sammy helped me get it off the car, he called it the Apple Table. So whenever I'd bring up the topic of the desk, he'd say "oh, you mean the Apple Table?".
Well I finally finished the desk. It has a classic brown look and the only thing I changed was the handle. I think it's perfect! A friend of mine bought it from me so the Apple Table will be leaving today.

I know these pictures are rather blurry but it's the best I could do before I got it ready for her to take home.

Stools, Stools...And More Stools (in the works!)

I love old small stools. They're easy to sand, paint, dry...and everyone can use one.
This little stool belonged to my mother-in-law. She's had it for over 20 years. My daughter thinks she used it to sample her paint on....Hmmmm.

Again, this is another project where I got ahead of myself and just assumed she'll like it but it atleast looks better!! Here's the Before:

I picked up my next stool at a flea market and paid about $5. My youngest daughter liked it for her room so I "retro"-ed it up for her style with some Ikea fabric(also garage sale find) and powder blue paint. She loves it!

Fireplace!!

I've had a WEEKEND OFF in more than 2mths! Take a look at the first thing I did. I hate, hate, hate this white fireplace. So blah! So this weekend I was home alone with my paint, glaze, and extra money from working so much.
I hit a couple of garage sales and found some great vintage decor. Then I started painting and didn't stop until I had a fireplace I LOVE to look at. Ahhhh...accomplishment feels so great!
