Amarillo...part 1

This summer we took a trip to Amarillo to visit a friend of mine's mother. She is one of the sweetest ladies I've ever met!! While we visited, she had a few projects that needed some sprucing up so in a day's time, we revamped some of her furniture for her. The first one is this chest of drawers. It didn't quite go with the theme in her room so with help, we tackled the project. The end result matched the decor of the room and left her in awe. That was the best part. Not to mention I got some home made jelly out of it. Perks are so great!

Brianna's NOT the "Girlie Girl"

Brianna doesn't like "all things Pink and frilly". She is unique in likes things dark, different, and mostly BLUE.

I found this table on a CURB and brought it home to fix up for her room. Since she loves the card suite theme, I took it and ran with this idea... Here it is. Hope you like it.

Tony's Ikea Lack Tables

Our friend Tony wanted me to redesign his Ikea side tables with album covers from his favorite bands. So after hours, and hours, and hours, of sanding and painting...here they are!

* since someone asked if I handpainted the tops, I wish I could say yes, but I didn't. Just the rest of the table.

Wine Rack

I picked up this two dollar wine rack at a garage sale. I'd seen one made into a towel rack on one of my design blogs so I decided I needed one for myself!

Sammy's favorite table

Sammy loves this table that is in our living room. I got it at an estate sale for 5 bucks and it had holes in it and everything. After some TLC, Wood filler, sand paper, paint, and vioala! A priceless table.

Ashley's Growing Up

Time to get rid of Ashleys chest of drawers I painted for her. She's not into hot pink anymore. I just bought her a Espresso 3 drawer, chest of drawers for her room. This is the latest item on Craigslist. Hopefully it goes to a home where their daughter refuses to grow up and want a mature looking room. A mom can only dream.

Round Table

I put one of my first before and after tables on craigslist today because I don't have room for it anymore. I'm pretty sad about it...actually so sad I wanted to write about it. In fact blog about it. So this stirred up emotions inside of me that needed to be shared with others. And thus, this blog was born... Curbside Creations. My trash to treasures. My before and after's.
